This Croydon homeowner wanted a safe and convenient way to charge their new electric vehicle at home, so we installed an Evnex E2 Core smart EV charger with a dedicated circuit from the switchboard.

Evnex smart chargers monitor the power usage of the entire home and automatically adjust charging based on the available capacity. This prioritises the home’s electrical needs first, helping prevent overloads and the main switch from tripping while charging.

The charger was also set up with solar integration, allowing the vehicle to utilise excess solar energy during the day when available, helping maximise the benefits of their solar system.

As part of the upgrade, we also installed whole-home surge protection to help protect their appliances, electronics, EV charger, and vehicle from unexpected voltage spikes.

The end result was a clean, future-ready charging setup designed for safe, efficient, and reliable home charging.
